Hi! We got Rocky's pathology report back and the growth was benign!!!!! Woohoo!!!! I am so relieved!!!!!!!!! Our big black doggy is still healthy!!!!!!! Yea!!!!!!!!!!

He did "pop" one of his sutures and had to go back in to the Vet. They said his incision was healing fine despite the one missing stitch. He is being his normal crazy self these days. We are thinking about changing the dog food we use because of his vomiting. One of our other dogs, Spike, has had a few bouts of vomiting also. We will keep you updated! :)

Update on Rocky

Just an update on Rocky. He has recently (within the last 2 months, or so) developed a growth on the top of one of his back feet. The Vet told us that it looked like a histiocytoma and they usually go away in about a month or so with no treatment. He gave us an antibiotic ointment to apply twice daily to keep it from getting infected. Even though we are doing exactly what the Vet had said, it just keeps growing. He will need to have surgery to removed it on Wednesday (4/23) and they will have to give him general anesthesia. He has also been vomiting almost everyday lately. Usually it is just clear mucus, but today it was a little undigested food. I am getting very concerned about all of this. I'm not sure what we will do if it turns out to be cancer. We have been through so much with him. He is such a wonderful dog and a fun part of our family. We love him very much. Please keep him in your thoughts this week. Keep your fingers crossed that it is just a cyst.

This is my new beautiful baby Molly! She came from our local shelter. She is the silliest girl!! She loves hugs and has the most beautiful hazel eyes! And of course that sweet, sad hound dog face!

Rocky's Recovery

Rocky is doing very well! He is so beautiful! His black coat is so shiny that is glows!

He tested heart worm negative last week!! Also, the vet graphed his weight and it went straight up! He weighed 32 lbs. when he followed my husband and our other dogs home. Now he weighs 46 lbs. and is solid as a "Rock"! We call him "Rock Star"!

He was neutered today!!! We have been eagerly awaiting this day for quite a while! The vet says he is up and doing well. What a relief to have that done finally!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)
